Local Escape offers Exclusive Trips, Thematic Trips, and Regular Trips, available through different travel formats including Open Trips, Private Trips, Customized Trips, and Company or CSR Trips. Each journey is designed around a specific destination, interest, purpose, or way of experiencing a place.

Local Escape Exclusive Trips are a series of curated special-interest journeys built around a specific story, theme, or destination. Our current Exclusive Trips form a storytelling series about The Human-Wildlife Continuum, exploring four Indonesian national parks through different conservation stories and the relationship between people and wildlife.

Thematic Trips are journeys built around a specific theme or interest, such as local culture, natural landscapes, wildlife, or naturalist experiences. The itinerary and activities are curated around that central theme.

Regular Trips are curated journeys to established destinations, experienced through different routes, timing, pacing, or perspectives rather than conventional tourist itineraries.

Local Escape creates journeys across different parts of Indonesia, including Ujung Kulon National Park, Way Kambas National Park, Baluran National Park, Gunung Leuser National Park, Batukaras, national parks in East Java, Lombok, Banyuwangi, Sumba, Sumbawa, and Belitung. Destinations and trip offerings evolve over time.

Not necessarily. Local Escape can visit established destinations as well as lesser-known or remote places. The experience is usually designed to explore each destination beyond the usual tourist route, timing, or perspective.

Yes. If you have a specific destination, travel concept, group requirement, or experience in mind, Local Escape can discuss and develop a customized itinerary based on what is feasible at the destination.

Group sizes vary depending on the destination, activity, and environmental capacity. Some trips are intentionally limited to small groups of around 6 people, while others accommodate medium groups of up to 12 people, particularly experiences involving wildlife, conservation areas, or sensitive environments.

Participant limits are designed around the capacity of the destination and the experience itself. In wildlife and conservation areas, smaller groups can also help reduce disturbance and allow the journey to remain more responsible and meaningful.

No. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed. Animals move freely in their natural habitats, and Local Escape does not treat wildlife encounters as guaranteed attractions.

Local Escape generally requires a 30% deposit within 1×24 hours, with the remaining balance due 14 days before departure. Deposits are non-refundable, while rescheduling is only available for the same destination.

Rescheduling is only available for the same destination within the same calendar year. Changes to a following year may involve additional charges, subject to the applicable trip conditions and availability.

Yes. A replacement participant or nominee may be arranged by the original booker, subject to Local Escape's applicable terms.
